Chennai Masala: Not the Worst Indian Food I've Ever Had

The worst Indian food I ever had was in Bend, Oregon, but that's a day in infamy that I'm trying to forget. Last night we took some takeout from Chennai Masala and had some Lamb Chukka, Dal Makhani, and an Indian bread basket with a few dipping sauces. The dal was excellent: well-spiced with perfect texture and consistency: it was terrific when ladled over rice. The lamb was well-spiced and not fatty at all but could have used more sauce: it seemed too dry when served with rice. The Indian bread basket was tasty but a little soggier than I like. This was probably caused by it being wrapped in aluminum foil for take out. The two dipping sauces that came with the bread were both tasty but uninspired.


Overall, it was good food and we ended up eating it for two meals, though it seemed a bit over-priced compared to similar Indian restaurants.
